Magda Lewandowska

(Red-head, on the left)

A compulsive reader since early childhood. A veterinary surgeon, who considers working with animals to be not only her job, but also her calling and passion. Her non professional skills include taekwon-do, archery, personalising Barbie dolls and braiding incredible plaits. And writing. She loves writing.

Started writing late, but when she started, she couldn’t finish, so she ended up writing a novel. Between further chapters of “Witia” book series she regularly has a go at shorter forms – from drabbles, through short stories to comic book scripts.

Her short stories can be found in Szortal, Kalendarz Słowiański (Slavic Calendar) ’17 and ’18, and  on Nowa Fantastyka’s portal.

Co-creates a series of short comic “The adventures of a curious Striga”, published in a magazine AKT.

She was the head of graphic department of fantasy magazine Silmaris.

Małgorzata Lewandowska

(brunette, on the right)

Learned to read and draw while reading comic book series “Kajko i Kokosz” by J. Christa, which resulted in falling in love with Slavic culture as well as Slavic fantasy. Her passion became obvious very early in her life and revealed itself in a form of crayon graffiti on walls and furniture (which her parents, understandably were not particularly happy about). Presently she creates her art on more standard canvas. Some joke that when she worked on her doctorate thesis in the Faculty of Plant Biochemistry, her brain underwent mutations, which caused a chronic attack of creativity.

As an author of prose, poetry and art she cooperates with magazines/periodical publications such as: Gniazdo, Szortal, AKTa and Silmaris.

Created art to: many issues of Kalendarz Słowiański (Slavic Calendar), anthology of Slavic poetry “Słońcem pisane II” (Written with Sun), books such as “Idź i czekaj morozów” by Marta Krajewska, “Światy polskiej fantastyki” (Worlds of Polish fantasy) by Wojtek Sedeńko, “Wielka księga legend Warszawy” (a Great book of Wasaw’s legends”) by Anna Wilczyńska or series “Barsoom” by Endar Rice Burroughs.

With Katarzyna Garncarek and Agata Kurzyk created „Goria Trio” music project.

As a comic book artist debuted in “Kajko i Kokosz – Komiksowa archeologia” (Kajko and Kokosz, - Comics archeology), a comics anthology published as a part of “Gród średniowieczny” (Medieval Gord) competition.
